Meet Dr. Parameswaran

Dr. Arjav Param is a comprehensive ophthalmologist specializing in cataract surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), and the medical and surgical management of a wide range of eye conditions. He sees patients at the Dayton North and Beavercreek offices and is licensed to practice in Ohio.

Dr. Param earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Johns Hopkins University, where he studied Molecular and Cellular Biology, Neuroscience, and the History of Science and Technology. He went on to receive both his Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Population Health Sciences (MPHS) degrees from Washington University in St. Louis before completing his ophthalmology residency at the University of Chicago.

He provides comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages, with particular interests in cataract surgery, premium intraocular lenses, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, diabetic eye care, and the management of mild to moderate glaucoma. He also performs a variety of laser procedures, pterygium removal, and minor oculoplastic surgeries, including blepharoplasty and ectropion repair. Dr. Param believes that every patient deserves to understand their eye condition and treatment options, and he strives to create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable asking questions and participating in decisions about their care.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Param has been actively involved in ophthalmic research, authoring peer-reviewed publications and presenting his work at national meetings on topics including glaucoma surgery, ocular trauma, pediatric ophthalmology, and retinal disease. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is committed to staying current with the latest advances in eye care.

Originally from Tokyo, Japan, Dr. Param now lives in the Cincinnati area with his wife and their two cats, Boba and Yuzu. Growing up between cultures gave him an appreciation for connecting with people from all walks of life, and he enjoys building lasting relationships with his patients. Outside of the office, he loves traveling, experimenting with new recipes, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Param provides care in English and Gujarati and is also fluent in Japanese and Hindi.
