Get to Know Dr. Kain

Dr. Emma Kain is a Dayton native who received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the

University of Dayton before attending the Michigan College of Optometry in Big Rapids, MI. During her time at the Michigan College of Optometry, she attended multiple national conferences, participated in several school organizations, and volunteered at the local animal shelter. Through the Michigan SVOSH chapter, she participated in a mission trip to the island of Dominica upon graduation, where she provided eye care to underserved communities.

Dr. Kain went on to complete her residency training in Ocular Disease at the Specialty Eye Institute in Jackson, MI, with a specific focus on refractive and ocular surgery. She is passionate about building strong patient relationships and providing thorough education to help patients make informed decisions about their eye health.

Outside of work, she enjoys crocheting, hiking, and spending time on the lake with her family.
